Jacqueline Wilson

Jacqueline Wilson was by far my favourite author for around 5 years. She has inspired me to do things and see how other people can live in life. Her books aren’t always full of adventure, but they cover the true aspects and struggle in life. She shows how not all families are well-off and how badly children can be treated.

Jacqueline Wilson is often known as Dame Jacqueline Wilson in formal events. She was born in Aitken on December 17th 1945 and had parents named Biddy and Harry.

When Jacqueline was only 19, she got moved to Scotland to work for a magazine called Jackie. Many people have argued about if the newspaper was named after her, but it isn’t as it was already called that before but the company just wanted to have a joke.

A few years later, Jacqueline Wilson married a printer named Millar Wilson and she moved back to England. Two years later, she had a daughter named Emma.

Jacqueline Wilson’s books are very emotional, but don’t have too much adventure. If you are just beginning to read her books, then I would read the blurb as Jackie does have some books that may be a little inappropriate for 8-. Here are the criteria:

  • Love learning about real life
  • Not too much adventure
  • No mystery
  • Crying to your heart’s content
  • Being as happy as you can imagine
  • Forgetting your real life

If you agree to these, then you are ready to read JW’s books. If you didn’t, why not give them a go, but you remember that if you don’t like the book then why come back to it if it didn’t give you any thrill at all. Goodbye!!!
