Phillip Pullman is one of the most famous and adored authors for children and adults. When I talk about him though, I will only be talking about his children’s books as they are (in my opinion) is best pieces of work.
You could open a page of his book on any one and be drawn in without knowing any of the rest of it. This is a great skill to have, and you may think that that is amazing, but you have not read his first sentence. These can draw you in so much.
If you don’t fancy one of his books then you can always come to another one as he has done many all of them different types.
WARNING- Clockwork, a book by Philip, is quite scary and so I would only recommend for ages 8+ as it does have a lot of death. It is also another amazing book by Philip though, and I have nothing against is fabulous way!
As you may have seen before in the excerpt, I put the criteria;
- Love a good joke
- Wonderfully kid friendly
- Always looking on the bright side
- Great for a family to share together
